Our Team Members
Jeffrey Jahnke
AIA Studio • Principal
Jeff is a registered architect, licensed interior designer, and member of the American Institute of Architects. Following four years in the US Naval Submarine Service, he received his five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York. His studies focused on movable and kinetic architecture, full-scale object construction, color theory, and applications related to the spatial aspect of architecture- all with emphasis on place making. He has substantial work experience in the design and construction of new, adaptive re-use multi-unit housing, along with coastal construction. Jeff has been a critic and adjunct professor of Architectural Design at the University of Hartford since 2007 and is an active musician.
Jeff's design philosophy is shaped by travel, outdoor experiences, and artistic passion—influences that bring unique perspectives to every project. His extensive background ensures that HAPi. projects benefit from both creative vision and practical expertise.
Breck Macnab
Studio Associate
Breck has 25 years of experience as a production designer and project manager. A life-long photographer, he understands the inherent nature of space and view path. Breck has also completed many residential, commercial tenant fit-out and adaptive re-use projects. He is the studio code consultant and performs (in-house) quality assurance reviews of our drawings.
Lady Morales
Associate AIA Job Captain
Lady holds a degree in Architecture from Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego in Peru and Master of Architecture at the University of Hartford. She is LEED accredited and enjoys strategies that include historic facade restoration and adaptive re-use and currently taking her architecture licensing exams.
Vivek Parekh
Associate AIA • Job Captain
Vivek holds a degree in Architecture from Anant National University in India and Master of Architecture from University of Hartford. He was a recipient of the Walter Harris Thesis Award and is currently undertaking his professional licensing exams.
Dean Ober
Associate AIA • Studio Manager
Dean has over 35 years of project design and management experience in multiple architectural firms as well as acting as adjunct professor of Architectural Design at the University of Hartford. With Architecture degree from Roger Williams University, Dean has successfully designed multi-tenant retail and and entertainment spaces, master planning efforts, urban & sub-urban settings in the nationwide and abroad. He was the design lead on the Petronas Towers in Malaysia.
Dave Ciciotte
Studio Controller
Dave holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of Maine and has over 20 years of experience in accounting. At the studio he tracks project level costs, prepare payroll, oversees the balance sheets and work closely with the principal to ensure overall financial health.
Janet Cemanes
Marketing Manager
Janet holds both licenses in Education and Real Estate Brokerage. She has over 20 years of work experience as broker in commercial & residential real estate in the Philippines and in North America prior to joining the studio.
